Gifts for Men: Cubicle Snacks

November 2013 041

Like I mentioned before, I’ve had more luck with giving guys food-related gifts than anything else, so when I saw these a few years back I knew I wanted to make them for Jerm.  I actually did make them last year, and used photos like the original post did, but I wanted to make them again this year and kept it even more simple this time around.

(Here’s our version from last year.)

Just scrounge up some clean, empty jars (I usually keep my spaghetti jars and they worked perfectly), remove the labels, and spiff up the lids with some spray paint.

FInd some patterned paper that isn’t too feminine (I may have failed on this one a little bit…not sure what I was thinking when I picked that family themed paper), and cut four-inch strips.  Wrap around the jar and secure with double-sided tape.

Label the jars.  I made my own last year, but this year I had some Martha Stewart labels on hand.  Fill your jars with whatever treats your hungry dude likes best and deliver them to his office.  We’ll be bringing them to him as part of the 12 Days of Christmas gift (Day 3, I guess, since there are 3 jars).

  1. When do you start your 12 Days of Christmas gifts for Jeremy? I would LOVE to do this for Phil!!!! I just don’t have very many ideas! I hope you don’t mind me stealing some of yours? Some people get mad about stuff like that! 😀

    1. Nope, I don’t care at all. I found the idea somewhere else a few years ago, too. 🙂

Oh, and I do it for the 12 days leading up to Christmas (so day 12 is Dec 24th). This year I think I’ll be a few days early because I want the girls to deliver a few of the gifts and Jerm’s holiday break starts on the 23rd. So basically, do it however it works best for you. 😉 I’ll text you some of what I’m doing if you want ideas.
