Trying New Things: Day 20

Day 20: Sending unexpected happy mail all month

Cause everyone loves getting something from the postman that isn’t junk mail or a bill, right?Obviously the month isn’t over yet, but so far I’ve managed to send something unexpected every week. Hopefully they’ve brightened up the recipients day a little bit.  Sometimes just knowing someone is thinking about you can make a difference. I hope to teach my girls to write real letters to friends and family instead of just relying on electronic methods.  There’s something so much more personal about a handwritten letter.

Oh, and just as an aside, I did try something new yesterday, even though I didn’t have time to blog about it.  I’ve had a (possibly) irrational fear of leave-in conditioner for years.  I was suuuuure it would leave my hair a giant greasy blob, so I refused to give it a try.  Unfortunately my hair is a frizzy mess so I decided it might be worth trying in my attempts to tame it.  And guess what?  It did help a little!  I don’t have a photo of my hairs to prove it, so you’ll just have to take my word for it, but it definitely did not make my hair greasy.  I don’t know why I was so paranoid about it, but I’m pretty sold on the stuff now.

Leave In Conditioner

I also tried an apple fritter with bacon in it because the donut shop we stopped in was out of the regular kind.  Not sure I would pick it if I had a choice, but it actually wasn’t that bad.

  1. Man, your on a roll with the new trying stuff. I have such oily hair I can’t put anything in it. I would take some of your frizz off your hand / head if I could. LOL I can’t wait to get Harley started on her letter to Susannah.
