Day Four: Homemade Eye Makeup Remover
I don’t know about you, but I seriously hate dropping $7 or $8 for eye makeup remover. I’ve had making my own on my to-try list for a couple years, but never took the time to just do it. Today I finally did (I even had all of the ingredients already on hand), and it was so incredibly easy that I have no idea why I didn’t do it earlier.
DIY Eye Makeup Remover
(adapted from this recipe)
1 cup distilled water
1.5 TBSP baby shampoo
1/2 TBSP coconut oil
Mix together and pour into a small bottle. Easy-peasy. (I did heat the water a bit to completely dissolve the coconut oil.)
It make more than my little bottle could hold so I dumped the rest in a (clean) jar. Since I had everything on hand, this little experiment cost me nothing, which beats a $7 price tag any day.
Works like a charm.
