Week in Review: March 9-15

Ah, Spring Break, you were wonderful while you lasted.  Jerm and the girls went camping for a few days and came back looking (and smelling) like absolute swamp creatures, so I’m guessing that means they had a great time….

Apparently Mad is all about the fishing.

I had a few days to myself (yippee!!!) so I visited Home Goods for the first time ever, and OH. MY. WORD.  Check out what I scored:

Favorite article of the week: this one by Jamie at Simple Homeschool.  Because it’s been seriously hard lately, and it’s encouraging simply to know that it’s not just me.

Favorite read of the week:

What can I say? Once a dork, always a dork.

What can I say?  Once a dork, always a dork.  Star Wars will always draw me in. 😉

I also discovered a brand new Kroger that has a bulk section.  A tiny one, but still.  Down here in the land of no bulk foods I’ll take what I can get.  I was so tickled that I even took a picture.

Jerm spent the first half of the week working on our flooring and finished all of the bedrooms.  The trim still needs to be finished up (mostly because that’s my job and I’m awesome at procrastinating), but the floors look pretty amazing.  I didn’t even want to move our furniture back in.  😉

Anybody else watch Downton Abbey?  I watched most of season 4 while cleaning and crafting this past weekend.  I adore the friendship between the Dowager Countess and Isobel Crawley.

I’m having a lot of issues moving my blog to another host, but Jerm is going to sit down and help me this week, so fingers crossed that everything will finally behave again soon!  That would make me soooo happy.

  1. I just adore your blog. It keeps me encouraged to continue to try to accomplish something crafty every once in awhile. I’m super busy these days and spend most of my time walking!

  2. Great post. I am ready for some camping. Also for some girl time with you! I think that I may have to bit the bullet and start taking some of my allowance and devoting to it projects that I want to start / do. I am ready for something spring… I think I will start with PAINT!

    1. I can’t wait for October, girlie!
And…pretty much all of my allowance goes to projects, which is why my wardrobe is in such sad state. Ha!

    1. The first season used to be, that’s where I originally saw it, but I’m not sure if it still is. My library has the DVD’s, which is how I viewed the other seasons.
