Week in Review: November 10-16

I’m kind of glad this week is over.  I haven’t felt well at all and it was just one of those hard weeks, ya know?

Because I was feeling so down it was incredibly encouraging to read this article.  At least I know I’m not alone.  😉

Here’s Susannah’s clay bowl she finished for her ancient China studies.

Madeline moved on to “H” this week, which was thankfully easier for her to master.

She sent a happy heart and Hershey hugs to Hannah (and yes, I realize that shipping was twice as much as their total cost, but sending a little kid mail is so worth it.)

Mad also helped make a huge hamburger for dinner one night!

I’m just including this photo because she’s so stinking cute.

I made a long overdue baby gift for a friend.  I could really use some embroidery classes, people.
I made similar shirts for my girls a few years ago and (sob) Mad is barely fitting into the larger one this year.  I adore them.

As best as I can remember, I’ve finished 18 books so far this month.  Honestly, I’m starting to feel a tiny bit burnt out, so I may need to dial it back a little.

I almost stepped on this little beauty the other day.  How he/she got in my bedroom….I don’t think I even want to know.  I’m hoping that it was traumatized enough by the time we got it out that it’ll never attempt to come in again.  It kind of seemed like it was.

Favorite website of the week: Dinovember.  Pure awesomeness.  Jerm is plotting already.

I saw this earlier in the week and am half fascinated/half afraid of it.  I’m a Russell Crowe fan and this looks pretty amazing, but you never quite know what Hollywood will churn out.

I’m also finding myself obsessed with boot socks.  I’ve come to the conclusion that I must have some.

And finally, here are a couple of funny/weird/down-right ridiculous things that people typed into search engines which somehow landed them on my blog.

  • potty dress – uh, guess I didn’t realize you were supposed to dress a certain way for that particular activity.  Now I know.
  • blender to chop peanut butter cups – I can see why you would need to check online to see how to accomplish this.
  • actual size dinosaur park – I certainly hope they found what they were looking for.
  • kotex – sorry, just thought that was funny.  You’d think typing that into a search engine would send you to, you know, kotex.

  1. i ADORE this post. I just want to read it over and over….I find every last caption somehow hysterically and mysteriously hilarious.
And yes, I used all those H words for Mad.
